Hiring Cheap Movers on Craigslist

Family Robbed After Hiring Movers From Craigslist Video - ABC News

People visit Craigslist everyday to look for cheap movers to move their items. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to save money. However, unfortunately every single day there are people that find out the hard way that cheaper is not always better.

The reality is that anyone with access to a moving truck can post an ad on Craigslist and claim to be a professional mover. It really isn’t that difficult. Come up with a catchy title, a few sentences and possibly a few pictures along with a phone number and you’re in business.

If you are considering using cheap movers from Craigslist then there are several things that you should consider:

First impressions go a long way and in this case your phone conversation will be your initial contact. You can learn quite a bit just by how the person speaks about their service and their processes. Make sure to ask plenty of questions and trust your gut.

Do they have any social proof validating their professionalism?

If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is…

I could write pages and pages on this particular blog post but Ill cut straight to the chase…Do your homework! Cheap Movers sometimes end up costing you more in the long run.

We literally receive 5-10 same day move requests a week due to people being stood up by movers that were found on Craigslist. Then there are others who suffer damages from movers then are unable to locate them after the move.
